Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. tested positive for marijuana in his post fight drug test. This is bad news for Chavez, especially considering the fact he was just arrested on DUI charges just two weeks before his fight against Marco Antonio Rubio in January.Previously, in 2009 Chavez also tested positive for a banned diuretic which can be used to mask steroids. This could cause his boxing license suspension in Nevada to not allow him the rematch against Sergio Martinez. Pac Man Lookin for the KO

So not only is Manny Pacquaio looking for the win in his 4th fight against Juan Manuel Marquez, he also feels like he needs a knockout. He wrote it on a piece of paper during a press conference and slid it to his trainer Freddy Roach. After all three of their fights have been controversial. both fighters will be looking to finally put an end to the rivalry. Pacquiao and Marquez fought to a draw in 2004, then Pacquiao won by split decision in 2008 and again by majority decision last year, but Marquez and many fans still believe he won all three fights, while Pacquiao says he clearly won the last two. Dec. 8th in Las Vegas, we will finally see who is the greater of the two fighters.

Sergio Gets The Win and the Belt!

Good fights last night!! Sergio Martinez now 50-2-2 pulled off the win against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, giving him his first lost 46-1-1, and regaining the middleweight title..Great boxing from Sergio Martinez throughout all twelve rounds, but in the final rounds Chavez Jr. began to hurt Martinez and dropped him in the 12th. Martinez stood up and survived the rest of the round. Had Chavez Jr. turned it up and got an earlier start, i believe he could have won that fight. He looked a lot bigger than Martinez. Already talks of a rematch..Hey, why not?? Also, Canelo Alavarez (41-0-1, 30)gets the win over Josesito Lopez (30-5), showing how powerful his shots are by firing away at Lopez's body and head, He was floored 3 times in the fight but finally finishes him with the TKO in the 5th with a wonderful combination.

Sorry for the leave of absence..but back in the ring now!! So, this is not too surprising but one of boxing's favorites right now, Andre Ward (26-0, 14 KOs)takes on and defeats Chad Dawson (31-2, 17 KOs) to prove his hype is no fluke. Ward started to land shots in the third round and early in the fourth to take control of the fight but ultimately finished him off with a combination in the 10th.

Canelo Looking Strong

With just over a month to go,the WBC 154 lb title holder Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (40-0-1,29) is looking prepared as he continues his training camp to take on Josesito Lopez on September 15th, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Zab Judah Talk with 50

Apparentley, Zab Judah's promotional contract with Main Events has come to an end. The former champion has been talking with newly licensed promoter of TMT Promotions, 50 Cent. According to Zab Judah, there's some big plans in the works but everything in the contract should be finalized once Floyd Mayweather returns home from his jail sentence.

Guerrero comes away with the victory over Selcuk Aydin

Robert Guerrero (30-1-1 18ko)defeated Selcuk Aydin (23-1 17ko) in a unanimous decision Saturday night. This win makes Robert Guerrero the mandatory challenger for Floyd Mayweather upon his release from jail. He even said he's ready to get it on but he may want to slow his roll and think about fighters more on his level such as Ward, Ortiz, or Khan before calling out Floyd. I respect his courage but you gotta crawl before you walk..especially into the ring for the fight of your life. Fight Game Lesson Learned: Don't bite off more than you can chew. Strive to get to the top but remember there are steps that need to be climbed first in order to get there.

50 To Join TMT

Rapper 50 Cent recently reviewed a promoters license in New York and is also in the process of applying for a license in Nevada. Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson will join TMT " The Money Team" and be promoting Floyd Mayweather when Floyd is released from his jail sentence Aug 3. This could be good for boxing since Floyd looks up to 50. If only we can get 50 to get in Floyd's ear and encourage him to take a fight with a challenge instead of cherry picking he's been doing over the last few years. 50 also took to his twitter account to inform Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions, that although they have been promoting Floyd's last 6 fights, 50 bets they won't be promoting Floyd anymore.

Adrien " The Problem" Broner's weight was a problem Friday and Saturday

Adrien Broner gets his win as expected, with a TKO in the 2:32 of the 5th round pushing his undefeated record to 24-0(20). The "problem" is he failed to make the 130lbs weigh in Friday night coming in at 133 1/2 lbs. Escobedo's camp agreed on a 140lbs limit on Saturday, and Broner showed up 3 1/2 lbs over. Now he has given up his WBO junior lightweight title but kept his record intact. Not that he's worried about the belt, while Escobedo moves to 26-4, Broner is moving up to the 135 lbs weight class to fight steeper competition and prove he is the next star.

Ok so check this out. Martin Tucker(below)light welterweight robbed The Monroe County Community Credit Union in Temperance in 2009, near the Michigan-Ohio border. Back on April 28, 2012 Tucker fought Devaris Crayton at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio. The FBI said they obtained a swab with blood from his April fight, and found that his DNA matched the DNA evidence from that 2009 robbery in Temperance.Tucker was arrested this week and ordered held without bond on Wednesday. His skill in the ring is equally talented.I forgot to mention he is 1-6. Maybe thats why he was robbing the bank! Hang up the gloves and put down the guns. Time for a vacation to the big house.
